OUTDOOR PROGRAMMING

Join us for an afternoon outside!

Outdoor Programming

Campus Cooperative Preschool is offering a nature-based preschool experience that will provide a group of children with an opportunity to connect with the natural environment in a safe and enjoyable way. Children will be encouraged to engage in activities that interest them, while we facilitate the learning process. This program is being offered once per week, on Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 until 3:30 pm. The program will take place in the schoolyard of Campus Cooperative Pre-School at Capitol Hill Park

To participate in our outdoor program, students must turn 3 before September 1st and be registered in one our indoor programs.

We will do our best to play and remain outside for the duration of every session. Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately to remain warm and dry during our time together.

The class will have access to the Campus Cooperative Preschool indoor environment if necessary. We can utilize the facilities should the children need the washroom, etc. or if the circumstances require us to go indoors.

Registered families will be given the teacher’s cell phone number, just in case we need to be reached while in the outdoor classroom. If you have a concern that requires discretion, please feel free to call me. We can either discuss things over the phone or make arrangements to meet. Otherwise, I am happy to discuss and visit after class.

We are a cooperative pre-school. Parents are required to volunteer in the outdoor classroom on a regular basis as part of the cooperative. Please see our Parent Involvement page for specific details. Volunteering is an integral part of the school, and is required to keep fees low and run our program. Our ratios depend on caregiver involvement. Please make sure on your volunteer day, you are dressed appropriately for the weather!
